Like seriously quick.....
I have been student teaching. First 4th grade and now 2nd. I must say, I absolutely love second grade. I feel comfortable and at home with these kids! It is completely different from 4th...2nd loves to talk!!! And talk some more and even more! They don't have much of an attention span. To get them to be quiet...it takes at least five minutes. Okay, maybe this is just my class, but I still love it! So I am thinking that either 3rd or 4th would be ideal. Maybe 4th as well. I just need to stick with short people though, so I can see over their heads :)
For the past couple of month we have been trying to get out of town....Finally we were able to go where it was warm. We went to.....you will never guess....Phoenix!!! Shocking, I know. Even though it was for 38 hours, it was a fun filled, jam packed 38 hours (minus the hours we slept, so something like 32 hours). We went to the Renaissance Festival, to Montezuma's Castle, to Maricopa Train park, went to see the Gilbert Temple (absolutely beautiful), drove past the Phoenix Temple being built, swam in the pool, and had breakfast with Brent's dad and Jill. It was fun and BUSY!!! Not a whole lot of sleep, though!
We have been busy with Pinewood Derbies. At least Parker and Madi have been. Hopefully they don't mind doing them. Along the line of cars....we hit the Auto Show. It only made Brent and Parker (and maybe myself) want to go to Detroit next year for the Auto Show.
I have been busy writing lesson plans. I have also been busy with homework...so have the kids. Parker took the ACT! He loved it....NOT! And in between all of that, which I know doesn't sound like a lot, but really, it was, we made nearly every other day trips to Salt Lake for a few weeks to be with my dad and see my mom while she was in the hospital. We continue to visit her as she recovers, except now she is closer.
Anyway, that is not quick quick, but for now that will have to do.
