Here it is:
- Pick up the nearest book.
- Turn to page 123
- Post the fifth sentence
- Tag 5 friends.
Okay, I actually had two books to choose from since I have been working on homework - exciting I know. But, the first, which if you know me and my FAVORITE class (not) I decided not to post about - Nutrition. I decided not to bore you with amino acids and protein denaturation and digestion. Really exciting I know. So the book that was next to my nutrition book (I had to do a journal entry - homework, last night) is Oliver Sacks An Anthropologist on Mars: Seven Paradoxical Tales. When I bought this book, I opened it up and thought it was going to be very boring and somewhat hard and long to read. But, in reality I have really enjoyed it. The sentence is taken from a narrative entitled "To See and Not See" and there was actually a movie made about this particular narrative At First Sight. Brief background to the book...Virgil is born blind for the most part, but he is given the chance later in his life to regain his sight. He regains his sight and it is how he deals with this new found "gift," but there is a twist in this story....
Okay, here is the sentence as Oliver Sacks wrote, "But his eyes seemed to fix on particular letters and to be incapable of the easy movement, the scanning, that is needed to read."
Now lets see, so many names on my blog to choose from as to whom I am going to tag... I am going to tag....
Megan, and Ashlee (when all those others who read this - and you know who you are - get their blog up and going, you are tagged too!)
Thanks Lindsay for the tag -I needed a blog for this week this was fun!!!
