...and then there was this text.....

Sometimes I love swype text.  Sometimes I love speech text.  But normally I get the best texts our of swype text.  That was until yesterday!  Here is some background to the text... I was driving and rather than texting and driving I did the speech text.  I was letting my friend know to send her kids to my house for dinner before young men's and young women's.  So here is the text (and I am posting this just so I refer back to it for a laugh on the days that I need a laugh):

"Do you want to taste your boys to head down to my house is specially been sent if you minion women's is in 10 minutes going caroling I know so they need to dress warm"

What that should have said was, "Do you want to take your boys and head down to my house, especially if young women's and young men's is in 10 minutes.  They are going caroling and so they need to dress warm."

Yep, speech text is now my favorite.  The next day, I speech texted my sister and my phone decided that it needed to drop the f-bomb.  The thing is, I never even said the word!  It didn't exactly spell it out it did the letter "f" followed by three stars.  My sis asked if I meant to drop the word....Nope, but my phone thought I did.

Moral of the speech text...if you ever get a text from me that is jibberish, includes swearing, or does not make sense, Betty - as my phone is called, did it.  She is usually quite drunk and who knows what will come from her.

I've just been reading through all your posts. I have no idea what you are feeling or going through. I know that someday it will be me in your shoes...and sooner than I would like. Then I'll tell you how I'm feeling & you'll be the one to tell me that "the two years fly by" and "you'll learn & grow so much because of it." And I won't believe a word of it. :) I know Heavenly Father will help you through. He always does. He knows exactly how you feel right now & understands it completely. And just cry...whenever you want. I think crying is good for the soul sometimes. Good luck, my friend! Learn & grow lots so that you can help me 7 years from now. Hehe!

Thanks Lindsay. I know (hope) two years will fly by. And when your time comes to send Connor off on his mission, just know that I will be here to listen. I was talking to a friend yesterday and he said that this is the best kept secret of the church, the emotions one goes through while preparing to send a child out on a mission, and I have to agree. Everyone I have spoken with says they are not prepared for this part of process and they are right. All I know is Garrett will probably get to the MTC and say, "Oh.My.Heck. My mom cries all the time and I am glad I don't have to deal with her crying anymore :)."
